TRT & Peptide Bloodwork Prices, Compared

A neutral, regularly-updated price comparison for à-la-carte, venous-draw lab tests — the panels people on TRT and peptides actually order. Real prices, the assay method behind each one, and no affiliate money.

The headline finding

The same standalone Free + Total Testosterone (LC/MS) test runs from $10.35 at Dirt Cheap Labs to $116 at Own Your Labs — an 11× spread. And the priciest one uses a weaker method (a direct immunoassay for free-T instead of equilibrium dialysis). Pricier ≠ better. The retail source labs (LabCorp, Quest) don’t even sell it à-la-carte — only inside $150–226 bundles.

Build your panel

Pick the tests you actually want — see which provider is cheapest for your exact panel. Some providers can’t build every panel, and this won’t hide that.

How to read the prices

Five things worth knowing before you compare the tables below.

01À-la-carte, real venous draw only

Every price is for a single test with an in-person blood draw at a Quest or LabCorp site. At-home fingerstick kits are excluded — capillary blood on an immunoassay is unreliable for hormones.

02Method matters

LC/MS directly measures the hormone; immunoassay is cheaper but less accurate at male levels. For free-T, equilibrium dialysis beats a calculated estimate. We flag the weaker methods with a ⚠.

03This is the single-test price

Some providers add a per-order fee (a draw, processing, or physician fee) charged once per order — it amortizes across a full panel. Each fee is shown per provider, not baked into the test price.

04State restrictions apply

Several of these services can’t ship an order to certain states — most commonly New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island. Each provider’s availability is listed in the directory below.

05Neutral — no affiliate money

Stackeddd takes no commission on anything here and links out with no tracking. This is a reference, not a referral funnel; verify the current price at the provider before you order.

Testosterone, Free + Total (LC/MS)

The headline TRT test

This is the one to order for TRT — you want both your total and your free/bioavailable number. The accurate version is Total by LC/MS plus Free by equilibrium dialysis. Watch the method: some pricier retail products bundle SHBG and albumin to calculate free-T, or use a direct immunoassay — cheaper to run, less accurate, and here they sit at the top of the price list.

Testosterone, Total (LC/MS)

Budget / baseline screen

Total-T alone can't tell you your free or bioavailable level — for TRT, get the Free + Total combo above. This row is here for a cheap baseline or trend, and because it's the only standalone testosterone the source labs (LabCorp, Quest) sell directly. Still order the LC/MS version, not the cheaper immunoassay.

Estradiol, Sensitive (LC/MS)

The one men actually need

For men, the standard estradiol immunoassay reads inaccurately at low male levels — you want the sensitive / ultrasensitive LC/MS assay. Notably, two of the source labs do not sell it à-la-carte at all.

DHT (LC/MS)

The androgen behind hair + prostate

Dihydrotestosterone — the potent androgen that drives male-pattern hair loss and prostate growth. The good news: nearly every provider that sells it à-la-carte uses LC/MS, the accurate method, so there is no weaker version to dodge here.

FAQ

Common questions

What’s the cheapest place to get testosterone bloodwork?

Across the nine à-la-carte providers we track, Dirt Cheap Labs and Good Labs are consistently the lowest — a Free + Total testosterone panel by LC/MS runs about $10–$15 there, versus $55–$116 at the pricier à-la-carte options. The retail source labs (LabCorp OnDemand, QuestDirect) don’t sell a clean standalone version at all — only inside larger bundles ($159+). Add each provider’s per-order draw or processing fee when you compare a full panel rather than a single test.

Why does LabCorp charge $159 for a test that costs $10 elsewhere?

You’re often not buying the same test. The cheapest providers resell the same Quest or LabCorp catalog at near-wholesale prices, while LabCorp OnDemand’s $159 "Comprehensive Testosterone" is actually a four-marker bundle (Total T, Free T, SHBG, Albumin) that calculates free-T from SHBG and albumin rather than measuring it by equilibrium dialysis. Pricier does not mean more accurate — even the most expensive true standalone Free + Total we list (Own Your Labs) uses a weaker direct-immunoassay free-T than the cheapest providers’ dialysis method.

Are at-home fingerstick testosterone kits accurate?

For hormones, capillary fingerstick blood run on an immunoassay is unreliable, so we exclude at-home kits entirely. Every price on this page is for a real venous blood draw at a Quest or LabCorp patient service center, which is what a hormone panel should use.

What is the difference between LC/MS and immunoassay?

LC/MS (liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry) directly measures the hormone molecule and is the accurate method for testosterone and, for men, sensitive estradiol. Immunoassay is cheaper to run but reads inaccurately at the low estradiol levels typical in men and for free-testosterone. Where a listing uses the weaker method we flag it.

Do these prices include the blood draw fee?

The number shown is the single-test à-la-carte price. Most providers are all-in, but a few add a per-order fee — Dirt Cheap Labs adds a $10 draw fee, Ulta Lab Tests a $12.95 draw fee, Discounted Labs a $10 processing fee, QuestDirect a $6 physician fee — charged once per order, so it amortizes across a full panel. Each provider’s fee is listed in the directory.
